Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the Porcaro instructional video is now available on DVD. Audiophile Imports has it. Check with Mark.

    Question

On the Porcaro DVD, are there any special features.
I've heard that there's supposed to be a longer version (50min instead of 30) floating around?

    Red face

    Too bad.
Still the best instructional video ever.

BTW, any word when Tommy Denander's '(The Making Of) Radio Active' DVD will be released?
Only heard of it, can't wait to see it.

Recently discovered Paul Brady's 'Trick or Treat' album.
Here you'll find some very nice playing from Jeff, two of my favourite tracks are: 'Soul Child'
    and: 'You And I'

Hey, HOD'ers! Capcity here, new to the board..
I am a Jeff Porcaro freak and know of an obscure session Jeff did with an Christian artist named Bryan Duncan. The album is called (no joke) 'Anonymous Confessions of a Lunatic Friend'. Jeff is paired with session bassist Nathan East on this album and they absolutely smoke together. Jeff lays downs the half-time shuffle as only he can on a tune or two and give a clinic in hi-hat spicieness. This album is Pop/blues/r&b and Jeff..well...is Jeff. This is one of the first albums I began learning to play to, and I thought everyone played like Jeff! Talk about discouraging..LOL!

If you want to hear Jeff play some complex odd time stuff, check out Sandi Patti's, "Another Time, Another Place", also a Christian recording. The complexity is in the intro and usually the ending of some of these tunes...but overall, it is pure Jeff playing ballads masterfully and laying down his signature grooves.
